Hello,
The Collegian is a newsletter published by the College of General Studies, Boston University. This is the college where I have taught full-time since September 1984. My primary assignment is teaching general courses in the natural sciences to freshmen and sophomore students, a task that is on the whole enjoyable and invigorating. Over the years I have found the students to be a pleasure.
When the opportunity arises, I have sometimes been able to take select students along with me on research trips, as described in the accompanying article from the Collegian. This particular trip was filled with adventure and revelation, for me as well as the students, in the best tradition of exploration. Egypt, that timeless land along the Nile, never ceases to amaze. While there, I had a chance to research the Great Pyramid in depth, visiting many passages and chambers rarely entered. You can read about my findings in Pyramid Quest.
